The youth group at church had a funny fundraiser where they would "flamingo" peoples yards and then charge to have them removed. (This was all done with the homeowners knowledge.) After the fundraiser, the leaders had all these extra flamingos. Well, I think these little guys are sort of cute in a silly sort of way, so three of them now ornament one of my perennial borders.

Flamingo
The youth group at church had a funny fundraiser where they would "flamingo" peoples yards and then charge to have them removed. (This was all done with the homeowners knowledge.) After the fundraiser, the leaders had all these extra flamingos. Well, I think these little guys are sort of cute in a silly sort of way, so three of them now ornament one of my perennial borders.

Our youth group used to do a flamingo fundraiser, but the homeowners didn't know. You would purchase flamingos to be placed at someone's house that you wanted to flamingo (as in what you do if you were going to TP someone's house except you flamingoed their house). The home owners would wake up the next morning to all of these flamingoes in their house and then they had to pay to have them removed (LOL)! It was a lot of fun and a great fund raiser!
